A number of international figures were also on attendance, including former US Justice Minister Ramsey Clark, Stanly Cohen, a Jewish lawyer who supports Palestinian rights, former Malaysian prime minister Mahather Mohammed, former Sudanese president Abdul Rahman Suwar Al-Dhahab, and George Galloway, former British MP and human rights campaigner.
A Palestinian delegation from Gaza was also on attendance with an agenda to internationalize the issue of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

The committee considered the banning of Khafsh from leaving to the conference as a continuation of the Israeli crimes against the captives and an exposed attempt to silence any voice speaking about their issue.
